Teatro-Amazonas

 Manaus - The historical central city of the Amazon region at the confluence of the Solimões and Negro rivers was founded as a trade center along the waterway where it served over the centuries as an important point of exchange for the rubber trade, and in the modern era as a free trade zone for manufacturing. Manaus is a rustic city that serves as an excellent stop off point for further excursions into the heavily forested and wild Amazon region. 

Encontro das Aguas - Confluence of the nutrient rich Solimões River with the clear dark waters of the Negro River. 

Pico da Neblina - Highest point in Brazil at 9,823 feet (2,994meters).

Jalapão  - Unique natural area at the junction of where the cerrado savannah region vegetation meets the Northeast caatinga. Known for abundant flora and scenic ripestrian areas.

Amapá -

Cachoeira de Santo Antônio - 30-meter high waterfall located 210 kilometers from the capital Macapa.

Pará - Ilha de Marajó - situated near the mouth of the Amazon river, this island is among the largest fluvial maritime islands in the world, with an area of 40,100 square kilometers.  In addition to its vast natural areas and beaches, the region is known for its large herds of African buffalo, which number close to 600,000.

Alter do Chão - Popular beach area on Tapajós river near Santarém, Pará. Named by travel guides as one of the most beautiful beaches in the country. 

Belém - Coastal port city at the mouth of the Amazon river known as a vibrant hub for cultural activity and a good jump off point to desintinations in the northern region of the country.
