Goiás

Goiás Velho - Located approximately 250 km Southwest of Brasilia, it is the colonial era first capital of Goiás state, home to an annual environmental film festival and is the hometown of poet Cora Coralina.

Chapada dos Veadeiros - Located approximately 250 km North of Brasilia, it is the location of a National park with abundant waterfalls and wild areas that are popular for recreational use. The towns of São Jorge and Alto Paraiso are situated at the entrance of the park, and are popular for cultural activities.  

itiquira

Itiquira - an 80-meter waterfall located 100 kilometers North of Brasilia near the town of Formosa is a popular weekend destination with recreational activities and a restaurant. It lies in the Vale de Paranã, which is popular for hang-gliding and parasailing.  

pirenopolis

Pirenópolis - Located 150 kilometers Southwest of Brasília, it is a colonial era city in the Pirineus mountains with abundant recreational activites at local farms and waterfalls, and cultural activities including arts and crafts, restaurants and music in the town center. It is home of the popular annual Festa do Divino, a religious and cultural festival and the Cavalgadas, a colorful parade on horseback. 

Cristalina- Located 100 kilometers East of Brasilia, it is a well known artisan center featuring locally-mined crystals and crystal carvings.

Caldas Novas - Located 350 kilometers South of Brasília and 100 kilometers East of Goiania, Caldas Novas is a popular family vacation area with hot springs at the Pousada Rio Quente resort and at some selected hotels in the town. The town attracts heavy tourist traffic and features a variety of restaurants and cultural attractions.

Brasília Architecture and Government Tours - Brasília, the seat of National government, is renowned for the modern Bauhaus style architecture of Oscar Nieymer. 

2 Candangos

Among well-known moments include the National Cathedral, the National Congress, the National Library and Museum Complex, Presidential palaces and government offices, the Juscelino Kubitshek Memorial, the National Indigenous People´s Museum, the Tancredo Neves Memorial and the JK Bridge.  

Água Mineral National Park - Located just 10 minutes from downtown Brasilia, this large wild area features two large natural spring-fed swimming pools and serves as a refuge for diverse local wildlife species.

Águas Emendadas - This is a strategic geographical location 60 kilometers North of Brasília that is the natural central distribution point for all river systems flowing northward and southward. Visitation is on a restricted basis.   

Lago Paranoá - This large manmade lake extends Northward and Southward around the Eastern perimeter of central Brasilia, and is a popular location for water sports and recreational gathering places, including clubs and restaurants. It is heavily used for recreational boating activities, including kayaking, windsurfing, stand-up paddling, rowing, sailing, parasailing, motorboating, and jet skiing. Swimming, snorkling and diving are permitted in the lake at some locations.

Brasília Botanical Garden - A large natural reserve that is home to abundant regional savannah plant species and also serves as a refuge for regional wildlife species, including monkeys, parrots and parakeets, toucans, hawks and eagles, armadillos, anteaters and the Guará wolf. The area features a visitor center and tea house, and is annually home to orchid cultivation and honey producers' fairs. Hiking and bike riding are permitted in some areas of the reserve.

Chapada dos Guimarães - 70 kilometers from state capital Cuiabá, this natural area features a high plateau and steep cliffs that are popular for hiking and outdoor exploration activities.

Rio Araguia - Extensive inland river that runs northward toward the Amazon. It is well-known for fishing and recreational water activities and features several popular fresh water sand beaches that are frequented during the dry season, from May to September.
